What’s up, Otaku Bettors!
Let me walk you through how inside bets work!

Inside bets are betting options placed on the inner section of the roulette table — they involve predicting specific numbers or number combinations.
My signature move — Straight Up — is an inside bet too.
The hit rate is low, but the payouts are high!!
Straight Up (Single Number Bet)

Bet on a single number — win and you get 36x your bet!
Bet $10 and win — $360 payout, $350 profit.
Hit Rate
| European Roulette | ~2.70% |
|---|---|
| American Roulette | ~2.63% |
French Name
| Straight Up | En Plein |
|---|
Straight Up is my personal favorite. Honestly, nothing hits better than landing a Straight Up in roulette!
Split Bet

Bet on 2 adjacent numbers — win and you get 18x your bet!
Bet $10 and win — $180 payout, $170 profit.
Hit Rate
| European Roulette | ~5.41% |
|---|---|
| American Roulette | ~5.26% |
French Name
| Split Bet | À Cheval |
|---|
In practice, Split Bets are more often used in combinations than alone. Covering 2 numbers with an 18x payout is just too good to pass up.
Street Bet

Bet on 3 numbers in a row — win and you get 12x your bet!
Bet $10 and win — $120 payout, $110 profit.
Street Bet Covering Zero
Street Bets can also cover zero — but the chip placement changes depending on which numbers you’re covering and the type of roulette.
European (0/1/2)

European (0/2/3)

American (0/1/2)

American (00/2/3)

American (0/00/2)

↑ These non-standard Street Bet variations are also known as Trio Bets.
Hit Rate
| European Roulette | ~8.11% |
|---|---|
| American Roulette | ~7.89% |
French Name
| Street Bet | Transversale Pleine |
|---|
The Street Bet is one of the lower-risk inside bets with solid payouts, so it’s a natural fit for combination play. You can stack multiple Street Bets together, but it also works great as a safety net alongside a Straight Up.
Corner Bet

Bet on 4 adjacent numbers — win and you get 9x your bet!
Bet $10 and win — $90 payout, $80 profit.
Hit Rate
| European Roulette | ~10.81% |
|---|---|
| American Roulette | ~10.53% |
French Name
| Corner Bet | Carré |
|---|
Corner Bets go by a lot of names — you might also hear them called “Square Bet,” “Quad Bet,” or “Quarter Bet.”
Corner Bet Covering Zero
Corner Bets can also cover zero — but the name and hit rate differ between European and American roulette.
Four Numbers Bet

In European roulette, placing your chip on the bottom border of the “0” and “1” column covers 0, 1, 2, 3 — a Corner Bet also known as the Four Numbers Bet.
Since it still covers 4 numbers, the hit rate is the same as a standard European Corner Bet at ~10.81%.
Five Numbers Bet

In American roulette, placing your chip on the bottom border of the “0” and “1” column covers 0, 00, 1, 2, 3 — a Corner Bet also known as the Five Numbers Bet or First Five.
Covering 5 numbers pushes the hit rate up to ~13.1% — higher than a standard Corner Bet — but the payout drops to 7x, so keep that in mind.
Line Bet

The Line Bet (also known as the Double Street Bet / Six Line) covers 6 numbers.
Place your chip between 2 adjacent Street Bets — win and you get 6x your bet!
Bet $10 and win — $60 payout, $50 profit.
Hit Rate
| European Roulette | ~16.22% |
|---|---|
| American Roulette | ~15.79% |
French Name
| Line Bet | Sixain |
|---|
Line Bets can stand alone or pair with other bets, but honestly they’re more often part of a combination than used on their own.
Pros

The big advantage of inside bets is the high payouts.
Red/Black only pays 2x — but a Straight Up pays 36x…
When you’re thinking about building profit, strategies built around inside bet combinations are where it’s at.
Plus, when the ball drops exactly on the number you called — it feels incredible. Like, “oh yeah, this is what roulette’s all about.” That feeling is genuinely important!?
Cons

The main downside of inside bets is the hit rate (win rate).
A lot of players who aren’t winning are just firing off inside bets completely at random.
The hit rate is just low — if you’re going aggressive with inside bets, you’ll go bankrupt eventually without solid bankroll management (chip control).
But flip it around — once you know what you’re doing, inside bets can actually generate profit more efficiently than outside bets.
